There is nothing more special than gifting someone a handmade card you have created from scratch yourself - especially a linocut.

Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of this course are as follows:
To understand what linocut is
To gain a thorough understanding of the tools and materials needed to handprint a greetings card using lino including some lino alternatives
To have a good idea of how to create a design for a greetings card
To be competent in transferring a design onto a block using carbon and tracing paper
To be competent in cutting the lino including knowledge of how to hold a linocutter and what cutting tools to select for different marks
To understand exactly how to ink a small linocut block using a roller
To know how to hand-burnish a piece of lino using a wooden spoon
To have created a registration board and know how to use it
To have created at least one single-colour linocut greetings cards
To have the knowledge of how to create a two-colour print and some other options for where you could develop your skills
