Hello and a huge welcome to this online course: Learn Monoprinting!
This course is aimed at complete beginners to monoprinting and printmaking (or those needing a refresher!) It provides a simple step-by-step guide to printing monoprints using a variety of different methods. I explain about the tools you need, how to work into the printing ink, how to ink it up and finally how to print.
Monoprinting is a fairly free way of working and you will be producing lots of colourful and creative prints within a very short space of time. If you have never done printmaking before, this is a great technique to get started with as there is no long printmaking process - the results are fairly immediate. Please experiment, play, get messy and most of all enjoy the course!!
The course is broken down in to several modules and two main sections and I recommend that you follow the course in the order that it is presented to you. There are videos as well as downloadable PDF documents.

Monoprinting Course Manual - Part 1
This course is broken down into two main sections (Module 3: Monoprinting 1 and Module 4: Monoprinting 2 of the longer Introduction to Printmaking Course) and the course manuals here provide you with all the info you need on creating colourful monoprints. These accompany and follow the course videos contained within this online learning portal.
Download both manuals and print them out for reference as you work through - there is space for notes, so you can jot ideas and thoughts down as you work through the course videos.
