What's in this mini-course?

This mini-course includes 5 days of sketching video tutorials with Susan. Each simple tutorial explains a creative exercise to carry out on paper or in a sketchbook with a simple pencil (or pen). 

The course portal will contain all the modules, released at a rate of one per day. You can also make comments and upload your sketches.

After the five days, you will continue to have access to the full course for as long as you need it - so you can return to it again and again whenever you want a creativity-booster or a reminder of what the exercises are.

Hi there, I’m Susan

Sketchbook mentor, art shop raider and pencil hoarder

When I’m not teaching, running my pottery cafe in Woking, writing books about sketching, or talking about all things creative, I’m busy being a mama to my very strong-willed daughter, dancing Salsa, practicing yoga, or sewing my own (often lovely, occasionally terrible) clothes. 

So, believe me when I say I get it - life’s full-on busy! It’s why my own creativity has fluctuated over the years. And it’s what inspired me to create this space for you. So that amid life's beautiful, messy chaos, your sketchbook practice remains as easy, accessible, and constant as possible. 

Let’s keep it simple. Let’s just sketch for the love of sketching, shall we?

How long do I have access to the course?

Forever! Once you've enrolled and paid, you'll have access to the course material for as long as you need. Note: The course is released one day at a time in the course portal. 

What is a mini-course?

A mini-course with me is a short bite-sized course that aims to show you something in a very short and sweet format. It is easy to digest and a great taster into some of my longer course and Membership group called Inspire. It is a way to get to know me and my teaching style as well.  

Can I start at any time?

Yes you can! As soon as you enrol you instant gain access to the Introduction and all modules. You can work through at your pwn pace but I recommend one module per day for 5 days. 

What materials do I need for the course?

You only need a three things to take part in this class:

- A sketchbook
- A pencil
- A pen

Materials aren't a barrier to getting started - you can use what you have available!
